| b. Bandung, W. Java, Indonesia, 1949. Chusin learned painting under the guidance of painter Barli Sasmitawi-nata, In the 1970s. He moved to Bali in 1988. His last works reflect his contemplative process of creation. His works were shown at the inau-guration of the Barli Museum, Bandung, the exhibition of super realist paintings at Andi’s Gallery, Jakarta, The Jakarta International Fine Art Exhibition at the Shangri-la Jakarta in 1994, The Fine Art Exhibition of Indonesia Today in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, Citra Realistic Indonesia at the Exhibition Hall of the Department of Education and Culture Gallery, Gambir, Jakarta. His work was selected as one of the ten winners of the Yayasan Seni Rupa Indonesia - Philip Morris Group of Companies Indonesian Art Awards in 1996. | |
