| b. Batuan, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia 1932 - 2017 Besides as a painter, he also is a carver, musician, and dancer. He combines traditional themes from Balinese religion and mytholoy with contemporary images of reality on the island. He first popularized the ide of showing tourists in his works. He has had numerous exhibitions in USA and Indonesia. He was awarded Dharma Kusuma award in 1982. His works can be found at the Contemporary Museum (Honolulu, Hawaii) | |
