| A Beijing-based arist, graduated from Beijing Central Academy of Arts and Design in 1992, and immediately began his career as an independent, professional painter. His earliest works in oil were miniature in scale and content, focusing on intimate compositions and uniquely transient psychological moments. In many ways the subject works were the reflection of artist living in a cramped apartment in urban Beijing. His first solo show was held at the Court Yard Gallery, and marked his first major gallery exhibition. Liu Kun is an extremely promising young artist. |
