| Born in Ngawi, E. Java, Indonesia, 1912, died 1987. Self-taught artist who was educated at HIS / Hollandsch Inlandsche School and BAT / Burgelijk Ambacht School. He was inspired by the works of the Dutch artists, Gerard Pieter Adolfs and Willem van der Does. He had a solo exhibition in Surabaya in 1986. An extremely productive artist, he produced over 30,000 paintings during his artistic career. |
